A Momentary Love

Rain trickled and whispered “drip-drops”,
lousy wind hooted shrill sound,
when drops kissed grass blades,
love looted nature abound.

Somewhere hoppers hummed a love-song,
while lazy snails were slow and down,
there was magic there,
an uncanny simplicity waiting to be found.

Drops of love nourished earth,
like a lover's touch enlivened damsel's soul,
nothing so absurd like a muse of Shakespeare,
willing to clutch, and drop a fable and foul.

Every drop chained a story of thoughts,
every heart enchanted and loved,
and still a belief persists, and insists,
“love is virgin, and unbound”
